What Is PDN?

 

Mission Statement

 The Paso del Norte Water Task Force unites water managers, water users, experts and citizens working cooperatively to promote a tri-state, binational perspective on water issues that impact the future prosperity and long-term sustainability of the region.  The Task Force adopted the following goals:

bulletKeep abreast of the progress being made by others so as to avoid duplicating effort
 
bulletActively promote the sharing of information and ideas among water management entities and affected citizens throughout the region
 
bulletIdentify water issues of the highest priority to the Paso del Norte region
 
bulletConvene fact-finding groups to study selected issues
 
bulletConvene a Paso del Norte Water Forum of interested parties to facilitate community discussion of Task Force initiatives and recommendations
 
bulletDisseminate the results of fact-finding and community consultation
 
bulletSubmit policy recommendations to appropriate authorities in Mexico and the U.S.
