EBID Tour

In order to see as much as we can of the Mesilla and Rincon Valley in the Elephant Butte Irrigation District and also get up to the lake, our day must start early in the morning.

So that we may get a final headcount for preparation of food and restaurant ordering, please RSVP by Monday, October 11th to Gary Esslinger or Janice Neaves.

The following is a proposed schedule for a full-day's activities. 
07:30  Board the bus at the Target/Office Depot Parking area across the Sunland Park Mall, in El Paso (Sunland Park Exit off I-10). Coffee and donuts will be served on the bus.
08:00 Leave the Parking lot area.
Travel time and question/answer session on bus.
08:45-09:30 Arrive at Diaz Farm for a telemetry and RTU demonstration.
Travel time and question/answer session on bus.
10:00-10:45 Arrive Mesilla Dam for river diversion site presentation.
Travel time and question/answer session on bus.
11:00-12:30 Arrive at EBID Main Office for Operations/Hydrology presentation.
Travel time and question/answer session on bus.
12:30-2:30 Leave EBID Office and travel to Bureau of Reclamation office in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Box lunch will be served on the bus upon leaving EBID offices.
Travel time and question/answer session on bus.
2:30 Arrive BOR Damsite office for a tour of Elephant Butte Dam and Power Plant.
Travel time and question/answer session on bus.
4:00-6:00 Dinner at the Dam Site Restaurant at Elephant Butte Reservoir.
6:30-8:30 Travel time back to the Sunland Park, Target parking area in El Paso, TX.
